Heart Strings In Motion began as a single, courageous idea born from a gap in our current specialized living system. Our mission is rooted in our experience as parents, longtime caregivers, and advocates. We speak for families like mine—families exhausted by a lifetime of caregiving and the constant weight of the unknown.
Our goal is to meet the urgent needs of aging parents and caregivers across New Brunswick. By bridging the gap between community inclusion and permanent supported living, we are building the future our forever-dependent children deserve.
A New Way to Live for Our Forever-Dependent Children and Peace of Mind for their Families.
A Dual-Pod neighbourhood style, supported studio apartment living solution for our forever-dependent children with Unique Needs. Heart Strings In Motion is hoping to break ground in 2026.

“Sometimes, a dream needs a foundation before the first stone is even turned. This blueprint—taken from my mind and heart to digital design with the help of my friend, Stephen Burley—was my way of showing that Heart Strings in Motion isn’t just an idea; it’s a commitment.”
We are bringing an essential, missing piece to New Brunswick’s support network. While vital work exists for many disabilities, a critical gap remains for our forever-dependent children. Heart Strings In Motion fills this void with a highly specialized system—the next necessary step in supportive living.
For my son and others like him, chronological age often masks a much younger developmental reality. We refuse to force these individuals into a world that doesn’t feel like their own. Instead, we are offering a a fresh start, a safe and specialized living solution where compassionate community companions empower them to live authentically. When ready, our loved ones will will finally be free from the pressure to conform, individually supported exactly as they are.
Unique Lives. Individualized Support. Endless Compassion with Heart Strings In Motion.
Some individuals thrive with standard guidance. Others are more deeply affected, requiring comprehensive, lifelong support. This is where the need becomes urgent— and why Heart Strings in Motion exists.
By elevating their quality of life, we will create a more compassionate community for everyone. Our model offers parents true peace of mind while inviting the community to join a forward-thinking approach—one that redefines how we see and support our forever-dependent children.
Heart Strings in Motion is building a specialized support complex for 20 young adults with unique neurodevelopmental needs in the Greater Moncton Area. This will be a place to call their own—an intentional community designed specifically for their wellbeing. For families, this means finding much-needed relief and renewed hope. It is the assurance that their loved ones are safe, secure, and experiencing life with joy, individually supported every step of the way.
Unique Needs are Genuine, Even When they are Unseen.
Heart Strings in Motion is built on the understanding that neurological challenges—those that impact how a person processes the world—are just as significant as physical ones. Unlike traditional facilities, our solution is dedicated to individuals who may appear able-bodied but require intensive, specialized support.
We look beyond diagnostic labels to focus on the whole person. Our model provides exceptionally high-level care through constant, understanding companionship and comprehensive guidance for every daily choice. By nurturing our intentional community, our forever-children are not just housed, they are empowered to engage as they are.
The Audacity of a Mother’s Dream.
When I share the vision for Heart Strings in Motion, I sometimes see a familiar look in people’s eyes. It’s the silent question: “How on earth will you pull this off?” To that, I simply answer:
“As parents of a forever-dependent child, our journey mirrors the lives of countless other aging caregivers. We all deserve the relief of knowing our child’s village is already built and waiting.”
~ Susan and Paul
Parents Aren’t Meant to Be Caregivers Forever.
This bears repeating one more time: “Parents are not meant to be caregivers forever.” Yet, many find themselves in this role indefinitely because specialized, lifelong options for neurodevelopmental needs are so limited. While dedicated groups are doing their absolute best with existing resources, the reality remains: families like mine are left in a desperate search for long-term solutions, haunted by the uncertainty of who will protect our forever-children when we can’t.
- Heart Strings in Motion is about sharing the stories of 20 young adults, their parents, caregivers, and raising the necessary funds to build a modern supported living solution.
- From a dream to a non-profit initiative, Heart Strings In Motion is what we like to call a Purpose-Driven Impact within our Heart-Centered Community.
