My Story
All I ever wanted was to quiet the noise for my people.
For a long time, that simply wasn’t possible. Looking back now, I can see that every step of my journey was leading me right here.

I saw it everywhere
For more than 25 years I’ve worked in marketing, design, web and consulting. I’ve taught in workshops, spoken on stages and sat one to one with leaders across New Brunswick and beyond.
And every single time, I saw the same things. Passionate, purpose-driven individuals with so much to give, buried under tools, passwords, monthly fees and the pressure to be everywhere. The noise was louder than any of us could bear.

"Think with your head, not your heart"
Early on, a respected consultant told me my business would grow faster if I led more with my head than my heart. That advice stayed with me for years and, if I am honest, it really bothered me.
I followed what the world expected: long hours, with nothing to show for them, until I hit rock bottom. Today I see things differently. Because I’ve given myself permission to tune into my heart, I’ve arrived where I was meant to be all along.

I tried to fix it with what existed
For years, I stitched tools together for the leaders I helped: a plugin here, a platform there, always searching for the one that would finally make sharing their message simple.
No matter how long I worked and how hard I tried, it never happened. What they needed was always one more upgrade away, and every update seemed to break something else. I watched so many heart-centered leaders spend their energy on passwords and payment plans instead of the people they were meant to help.
The noise never went away. It just kept moving around.
Until now, what I wanted for my people wasn’t possible.

Then, it was
After a little more than a year of creating, testing and refining, I was finally able to build what I could never find. The Beyond ‘Biz’ Experience is a calm online space: a platform each of our leaders owns, a Content Engine that sounds like them, creative studios that make showing up easy, and a community that walks beside them every step of the way.
Twenty founding leaders said yes first. Every tool I build, I build with them, and for you.

This is part of my purpose-driven impact, and little did I know, I'd been working toward it all along
Business and marketing taught me how people connect. Design and web taught me how to build. Teaching taught me how people learn. And being a mom to my three kids, and a caregiver to my youngest, taught me what it means to be truly seen, heard and understood.
Nothing was wasted. Every chapter handed me one more piece of the vision I’d held for my people from the very beginning.
And now, I share these lessons, and the people who’ve shaped them, on my podcast, Beyond ‘Biz’ As Usual with Susan Robichaud.

The same why, at home
My son Vincent is a big part of my heart-centered journey.
Heart Strings In Motion is building permanent supported living in Greater Moncton for adults like Vincent, who will always need support and protection. It’s the same dream as the Beyond ‘Biz’ Experience: a place where people are seen, heard and understood for who they are, respected and valued for the uniqueness they bring to our communities.
